The Mombasa Black Naya kimono introduces the timeless pleasure of a pure and satisfyingly geometrical pattern in black on white, embellished by a veritable feast of contrasting pure silk embroidery - down the front and around the back of the kimono, featuring bold diamonds in flaming scarlet and white. The Nya Mombasa is a remake of the popular Mombasa black kimono, so popular for our clients.

Handwoven by our community of artisans this ikat kimono is a slow fashion garment, supporting ancient weaving techniques, and small communities of artists, who inherited their looms from their ancestors and practise their expertise passed through generations. This, makes this piece so unique.
